In order to raise awareness of these environmental issues, the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) at Antonine University (UA) is collaborating with the Human Environmental Association for Development (HEAD), the Arab Network for Environment and Development (RAED), and the Green Party of Lebanon to host an on-campus presentation on Bees and Climate Change.Bees have an essential role as pollinators. They help to grow fruits and vegetables (up to one-third of all food produced depends on bees), provide honey, improve soil quality, and increase plant productivity. Bees also play an important part in the ecosystem of animal habitats. But climate change, deforestation, and pollution are harming these important pollinators, so it is our duty to protect them.
