The Human Environmental Association for Development (HEAD), is launching a “Reforestation Initiative” in Jbeil Casa

In the context of climate change mitigation, natural disasters and the revitalization of ecotourism, the Human Environmental Association for Development (HEAD), in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, organizes a "Reforestation Initiative in Jbeil Casa".
The Association HEAD is pleased to invite you to the opening ceremony to be held on Saturday, 26 March 2022, at 10.30 A.M. at Ghalbon Municipal Centre - Public Hall, in the presence of UNEP’s representative and Regional Director for West Asia, Mr. Sami Dimassi and the Ministers of Tourism, Environment and Agriculture, Engineer Walid Nassar, Dr. Nasser Yassin and Mr. Abbas El Hajj Hassan, respectively. The event will also be attended by the Local Civil Affairs representative of Jbeil Ms. Nathaly Merhi, the Mayor of Ghalbon Engineer Elie Gabrael, and the Local policy commanders of the villages and towns participating in this Initiative.
The ceremony will begin with the Lebanese National anthem, followed by opening remarks from the below esteemed guests:
- Mr. Mazen Rizk | Tourism and Heritage Initiative.
- Engineer Elie Gabrael, Mayor of Ghalbon.
- Mr. Sami Dimasi | UNEP representative and Regional Director for West Asia
- Dr. Abbas El Hajj Hassan, Minister of Agriculture.
-Dr. Nasser Yassin, Minister of Environment.
- Engineer Walid Nassar, Minister of Tourism.
-Engineer Marie Therese Mehrej Seif President of HEAD.
The speeches are followed by the signing of a "Declaration of Intent Paper" between the Association and UNEP.
Lastly, a meeting will be held with “Khebz w Mekeh” in “Ghalbon houses” - Ghalbon
